How do I apply for a position with Wetherspoons?
All of our recruitment is completed online through this website. Please click on the ‘find a job' tab where you can search and apply for all our current vacancies.

I am under 18 years of age, can I still apply?
Yes you can - we can employ under 18s in both Floor and Kitchen positions so please search for these roles to apply.

I am under 16, can I still apply?
Unfortunately we do not offer any employment to under 16's; please visit our site again once you turned 16!

Do I need experience to apply for a position?
Everyone has to start somewhere; we recruit on attitude and train the skills you need. Anyone can apply for our staff vacancies and we would be happy to review the application.

I am interested in applying for a new opening pub but the vacancies aren't online yet?
We tend to start recruiting 6-8 weeks prior to the pub opening, you can find out when a new pub is opening by clicking on ‘our pubs' followed by ‘new pubs'. All vacancies will be advertised via our website and you can sign up for email alerts which will notify you when the vacancies go live.

How do I unsubscribe from job alerts?
If you could please scroll to the bottom of the next email you receive from us you will be able to click on an ‘unsubscribe' link which will remove you from our mailing list. If you are unable to locate this link please forward the email to us and we will be able to action it from our end.

I have seen a poster in my local pub advertising for staff but I can't find the roles online, what do I do?
All our pubs recruit directly for their staff positions; if you give your local Wetherspoons a call they can add the vacancies on for you.

I have submitted an application form and haven't received a response?
If you have applied for a staff position all our pubs directly recruit for their own staff in the pub. Please contact your local Wetherspoon pub and they will be able to let you know if you have been successful or when you will hear back.   If you have applied for a management vacancy, which has already closed, and you have not heard back please contact our recruitment team recruit@jdwetherspoon.co.uk and we can let you know the status of your application.

What shifts will I be required to work in the pubs?
All of our staff and management team work shifts on a rota basis, each pub will open and close are different times you may be asked to come in before the pub opens or stay after it closes. Please speak to your local Wetherspoons directly to find out if they can accommodate any specific working hours.
